7&8 trip to Berlin
Day 3
This was our last day in Berlin, but we still managed to see a lot!
In the morning, we visited the Berlin Zoo and the adjoining aquarium – one of the largest and oldest in Europe. It’s really impressive, with spacious enclosures and a great variety of animals. The aquarium was full of exotic fish, jellyfish, and crocodiles – a great experience, even for grown-ups!
Later on, we stopped by the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church – its ruined tower stands as a symbol of war destruction, but also of peace and reconciliation. Right next to it, there’s a memorial to the victims of the terrorist attack from December 19, 2016 – a very moving place.
To wrap up the day, we went up the Berlin TV Tower – the view from 203 meters high was absolutely breathtaking! You can see the entire city, from historic landmarks to modern neighborhoods. A perfect way to end the trip.
All in all – it was a really successful getaway! We were lucky with the weather, even though it got colder today. Berlin is such a diverse city – full of contrasts, history, and openness.
We’re now on the train back to Warsaw – it left right on time. We’ll be arriving at Central Station at 11:00 PM.

Day 2
We’re happy to share another great day in Berlin with you – and once again, we’ve been lucky with beautiful, warm weather that made our program even more enjoyable.
We began our morning with a visit to the Museum of Natural History (Naturkundemuseum). The students were fascinated by the impressive dinosaur skeletons – including the tallest mounted dinosaur in the world – as well as the exhibits on evolution, minerals, and the history of life on Earth. It was both educational and awe-inspiring.
Next, we headed to the Science and Technology Museum – Spectrum – which turned out to be a real favorite. This hands-on museum is filled with interactive exhibits about physics, technology, light, sound, and more. The students had a fantastic time experimenting, exploring, and learning through play. Many of them said they could have spent the whole day there!
In the afternoon, we visited Potsdamer Platz, once divided by the Berlin Wall, now a modern and lively district full of interesting architecture. From there, we made our way to Checkpoint Charlie, the famous Cold War crossing point between East and West Berlin. It sparked lots of great questions and conversations.
Throughout the day, we traveled using Berlin’s public transport system – one of the most efficient and well-connected in the world. The students quickly got the hang of it and enjoyed experiencing the city like locals.
We ended the evening with a walk around Tempelhof Airport, a historic site that once served as one of Europe’s iconic airfields. Now transformed into a huge public park, it’s an open space full of history, where people bike, skate, and relax on the old runways. It was the perfect place to wind down after a busy day.
Before heading back, we made a short stop at the famous Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebap – and it definitely lived up to the hype! Delicious, fresh, and full of flavor – a great treat to end the day.
Tomorrow is already our last day in Berlin, and we still have many exciting things ahead. We’re looking forward to making the most of it!

Day 1
Our first day of the trip has come to an end – it was a very long day, but full of exciting experiences and great weather!
We started the day early, with a 5:00 AM train from Warsaw to Berlin. Upon arrival, we began our sightseeing right away. Our first stop was the Berlin Wall and East Side Gallery. We walked along the wall, admiring the colorful murals, and then continued our walk along the River Spree.
The weather has been fantastic – warm and sunny, which made the sightseeing even more enjoyable. Next, we visited Alexanderplatz and then the Red Town Hall. In the afternoon, we took a longer stroll through the city center, passing by the monument to Martin Luther, as well as the statues of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
We also stopped at Museum Island and the Berlin Cathedral, and then visited the New Guardhouse Memorial (Neue Wache). We saw the symbolic empty book shelves at Bebelplatz, a tribute to the books burned by the Nazis.
The main highlight of the day was the Brandenburg Gate – we took some photos and had a short break there. On our way back to Berlin Hbf, we passed the Bundestag and walked along the Spree River.
Now, we are resting after a long, eventful day, as tomorrow promises even more attractions.
