Our trip to Norway
Between April 23 and 27, 2025, students from our school participated in a mobility trip to Norway as part of the implementation of Work Package No. 3 of the project “International School Cooperation – Montessori Erdkinder & Farm School.” The aim of the trip was to foster direct collaboration between Polish and Norwegian students, develop language skills, acquire life skills, and learn about the educational and cultural realities of Norway.
During our stay, we visited the Montessori Norlights Stavanger school, where we explored the Norwegian education system and presented our own schools. We participated in language workshops and debates on topics such as equality, stereotypes, and the contemporary political and social situation. It was a great opportunity to reflect on the benefits of international cooperation and to build connections among young people from different countries.
We also took part in integration activities and collaborative work in the school garden, where we prepared planting boxes and built an insect hotel, learning about teamwork and environmental care.
Another unforgettable experience was the hike to the famous Preikestolen (“Pulpit Rock”), which we reached after completing a challenging mountain trail. The following day, we had the chance to admire this majestic cliff from the water during a cruise along the Lysefjord, followed by a peaceful walk to Dalsnuten, offering beautiful views of Stavanger and its surroundings.
At the end of our journey, we visited Sverd i fjell – the famous “Three Swords” monument – learning about the historic battle that shaped Norway’s future. It was a beautiful and symbolic way to conclude our trip.
This mobility experience was an intense, emotional, and enriching time. The students demonstrated engagement, openness, independence, and curiosity about the world. We are proud of their attitude and the skills they have gained.
Report from our trip
Day 1
We are pleased to inform you that we have safely arrived in Stavanger. The flight was very comfortable, and upon arrival, we were welcomed by beautiful weather and a charming city.
We ended our day with a walk through the picturesque coastal part of Stavanger. The city greeted us with a scenic sky and calm waters in the harbor. Attached you will find a few photos from our first day – as you can see, everyone’s in great spirits!
Ahead of us are a few intense and inspiring days filled with activities, meetings, and cultural exchange. We will keep you updated as the trip progresses.

Day 2
Today was a truly eventful and inspiring day, full of engaging activities.
After breakfast, we headed to Montessori Norlights Stavanger, where we had the opportunity to learn more about the Norwegian education system as well as the school itself. Norwegian students gave us a guided tour of the building and shared many interesting insights. We presented our own schools – WMMS and MFS – and had thoughtful discussions about the differences between the Polish and Norwegian education systems, as well as the history and traditions of both countries.
There was also time for connection and collaboration. Our students joined English classes where they took part in a lively debate on topics such as stereotypes, equality, and current political and international affairs. It was a meaningful and enriching experience for everyone involved.
After sharing lunch together, our hosts took us to the Norwegian Petroleum Museum. It was a fascinating lesson in history and economics – we learned how natural resources like oil have played a major role in Norway’s prosperity.
To end the day, one of the teachers turned into a tour guide and led us through some of the hidden corners of Stavanger. We concluded the evening with a shared dinner with the Norwegian students.
It’s been a very active and memorable day. Tomorrow, we’re heading into the mountains for our next adventure!

Day 3
Today was another exciting and eventful day, filled with meaningful experiences and new challenges.
After breakfast, we visited another class at Montessori Norlights Stavanger, where we discussed the goals of the EU programs that made it possible for us to spend this wonderful time together in Norway. It was a great opportunity to reflect on the benefits of international cooperation and to strengthen the bonds between students from different countries.
Next, the students participated in team-building activities that helped them connect even more closely. Afterwards, we all worked together in the school garden – preparing planter boxes for spring planting and building a bug hotel, learning about teamwork and environmental care along the way.
After a shared lunch, it was time to say goodbye to our new friends from the Stavanger school. It was a heartfelt farewell, full of hugs and warm words!
But the day wasn’t over yet – our students from Warsaw set out to conquer the famous Preikestolen! The demanding hike was a real challenge, but everyone succeeded, and the breathtaking views at the top made every step worth it.

Day 4
Today we dedicated the entire day to admiring the breathtaking beauty of Norway.
In the morning, we set off on a boat trip – departing from the center of Stavanger and sailing along the stunning Lysefjord towards Preikestolen, which we conquered just yesterday. From the water, the famous Pulpit Rock looked surprisingly small compared to the overwhelming emotions we experienced at its peak.
In the afternoon, we hiked up Dalsnuten, a mountain we had been admiring from our hotel windows every day. It was a pleasant and relaxing walk, offering wonderful panoramic views of Stavanger and the surrounding area. Sadly, it was our final mountain adventure of this trip, and we are already feeling nostalgic.
Once again, the Norwegian weather spoiled us with sunshine and a warm spring breeze.

Day 5
Our Norwegian adventure is coming to an end!
This morning was spent packing and getting ready for our journey home. After breakfast, we took a final trip to Sverd i fjell – the iconic Three Swords monument. We learned about the historic battle that shaped Norway’s destiny and the meaning behind the swords. It was a beautiful and symbolic way to close our visit.
After returning, we quickly and easily made our way through airport security – no lines, no stress. Now, we are waiting for our flight to Oslo. If everything goes according to plan, we will land in Warsaw at 3:25 PM. Should there be any delays during our connection in Oslo, we will promptly inform you.
These past few days have been filled with intense, meaningful, and unforgettable experiences. We gained new skills, made wonderful new friends, and were constantly inspired by the breathtaking Norwegian nature. We are very proud of our students for their involvement, openness, and positive spirit throughout the trip.
